Parish Walk - September 2008
The annual Parish Walk took place this year on 13 September 2008. This year the course was set to rum from Marcross back to Llantwit Major. It was a beautiful sunny Saturday morning when we set off which followed a really nasty week of rain and local flooding.  Forty people and 3 dogs took part in the walk this year starting at the Horse Shoe public house at 9.30 am.
Parish Walkers - 2008
We walked through Marcross and then cross-country to St Donats. We stopped off there for a refreshment break and a look around the beautiful old church in the Castle grounds. The children enjoyed ringing the bells whilst the adults enjoyed a cup of tea and a biscuit courtesy on Denis’s catering. We then set off and walked into Llantwit Major for further refreshments at our Church Hall.

Thanks to all who took part, in particular Richard and Judy Browning for setting the course and arranging the walkers, those who kindly arranged the transport and of course the caterers. More to follow in the next edition of the Parish Magazine
