This was a tremendous success, and we hope it was thoroughly enjoyed by all who took part. There were 42 walkers altogether, who followed a sometimes demanding but very interesting and scenic walk of nearly seven miles, beginning and ending at St.Cadoc's Church, Cowbridge.
Many thanks to Richard and July for all the work and walking the put into preparing this route. There was a very pleasant stop in Prisk at the home of Chris and Fran Morgan who kindly volunteered to provide hot and cold drinks, biscuits and the use of their cloakroom.
The next stop was for refreshments at Carys and Patrick Whelan's Round House at Cae'r Delyn, much enjoyed by all. The walkers then proceeded back to St.Cadoc, refreshed, invigorated or tired and footsore, but a marvellous effort by all. The magnificent sum of
£1,219 has been collected towards the Parish centre. Our grateful thanks to all walkers, organisers, providers of refreshments and sponsors. |
