SPECIAL END OF YEAR MASS next Sunday 29th June at 2.30 p.m. at Our Lady and St Illtyd’s to celebrate with Parish Angels & Doves and the First Holy Communion Group. Everyone is invited especially families with children aged 3 to 11. After Mass there will be refreshments and games.

 

WHIST DRIVE: The next Whist Drive will be on Monday 30th June at 730 pm. In the Parish Centre. Please come along and support this event. All are welcome and instruction can be provided!

 

FLOWERS: an evening with local flower arranger, Maureen Bryant, has been organised by the Ladies Guild on Wednesday 2nd July at 730 pm in the Parish Centre. All parishioners are invited (male and female).

 

PARISH FAMILY GARDEN PARTY  Saturday 5th July, 12 noon at Dimlands, Llantwit Major. Please come along with your family and friends to enjoy the Parish summer BBQ, Fun and Games, Swimming Pool (outdoor pool) and Quiz, or relax and enjoy the views over the Bristol Channel. Tickets on sale this weekend. £5 adults, £3 children, including BBQ lunch. Please get your tickets promptly so that numbers can be estimated. Tickets also available from John Davies 793390

ST HELEN’S INFANT and NURSERY SCHOOL BARRY is seeking to appoint a Level 3 Learning Support Assistant from September 2008. Full details available from 24th June www.valeofglamorgan.gov.uk. A small number of pupil spaces are also available. A free school bus service from Wick, Llantwit Major St Athan and Rhoose is provided by the VALE Council.

 

A FLOWER FESTIVAL has been organised by All Saints Parish and the Newport Floral Society for June 26th to 28th, from 10.30 to 5.30 daily. At St Mary’s R.C. Chuch Stow Hill, Newport. Admission £1. Mass 10a.m.

TAX PAYERS – please consider GIFT AID for your collection donations –fill in one simple form and place your donations in a special envelope.  You don’t have to contribute every week and don’t have to donate a specific amount – you just have to be a tax payer! The parish can reclaim 27pence per pound you donate – and there really is no extra cost to you.
