Parish Ladies Guild - Wednesday 5th September, 8pm, Parish Centre Llantwit Major - guest speaker; Mrs Marian George of the Independent Monitoring Board at Parc Prison Bridgend. Please join us and gain an insight into Marian's role at the Prison.

Parents meeting on Wednesday 12th September at 8pm in the Parish Centre Llantwit Major - to outline the Parish programmes for:-

First Reconciliation (Confession) and First Holy Communion and Parish Angels & Doves

- catechises for children aged 3 to 11yrs.

Confirmation Classes These re-start at 5.30 p.m. on Monday 10th September in the new Parish Centre.

FUN DAY at HENDREWENNOL 23rd September, 11- 3. This is not a fund raiser but a social gathering for all the parish to enjoy. Tickets on sale: £5 per adult, £3 per child to include food. Lots to do for all the family.

Pastoral Advisory Council 2 vacancies will occur in October, plus one for a young person. Nomination forms are available at the back of each church. Closing date for nominations, 23rd September.

St.Richard Gwyn Catholic High School - IMPORTANT NOTICE

Because of flood damage on the last day of last term, the school is undergoing extensive repairs including a new roof, and our thanks go to the Vale, the Archdiocese and the Assembly for their help in ensuring that the work will mean a much higher standard in the old part of the school, bringing it into line with our new buildings.

There will obviously be some disruption during the work.

The school will re-open as follows: Wed. 5th September: Year 7 for their Llangannog trip. Monday 10th Sept. Years 7 and 11.

Tuesday 11th Sept. Years 7, 10 and 11.

Wednesday 12th Sept. ALL PUPILS

WANTED! Someone to replace Ray Cullinane in administering the 49ers from mid September. Not a lot of work involved. Our grateful thanks to Ray for initiating it, and running it for the past 8 years. It has raised many thousands of pounds for the Parish.
