Despite intermittent rain
over 80 people turned up at the Hendrewennol Fun Day and
really made the most of it.
Music was provided by Ian Hutton, and Barry Brass Band,
who entertained us wonderfully, with grateful thanks to the
Keen's for allowing them to play from the dining room
because of the rain. There was a lunch of jacket potatoes
plus hot or cold fillings, salads and superb desserts, while
afternoon tea included scrumptious cakes. The children had
plenty of games to play, and races in the afternoon, and an
excellent treaure hunt which kept them well occupied. Adults
were able to tackle a plant and tree quiz, congratulations
to Laurie Williams who won it. The day concluded with a
children's then a family tug of war.
Our very grateful thanks to Peta and Tom Keene for all their
work and hospitality in the wonderful grounds of
Hendrewennol. Below are a few images from the event. |
